Baltimore Police: Two men killed in shootings Thursday, another injured by gunfire

A 29-year-old man was shot and killed early Thursday morning in Carrollton Ridge in Southwest Baltimore and a 29-year-old man was shot to death late Thursday night in Pen Lucy in North Baltimore, police said.

Baltimore Police officers arrived around 2:25 a.m. to the 300 block of South Pulaski Street for a ShotSpotter alert and found Kenneth Blackstone, 29, suffering from a gunshot wound. Emergency medical services arrived and pronounced Blackstone dead at the scene.

At about 9:50 p.m. officers responded to the 4200 block of St. Georges Avenue for a shooting. The victim, later identified as 29-year-old Andrew Smith, had been shot in the torso and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information related to the fatal shootings to contact 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers.

Earlier on Thursday night, a 19-year-old suffered non-life-threatening injuries after he was shot at a gas station in Lakeland, police said.

Baltimore officers responded about 8:40 p.m. to a hospital, which the victim walked to for treatment, according to police. He had been shot in his wrist and finger at the Royal Farms store in the 2200 block of West Patapsco Avenue.
