Dee Ann Warner missing persons case to be highlighted on TV show

A missing Tipton woman's case will get more national attention this evening when it airs on a cable and streaming channel dedicated to crime stories.

"Disappeared," a series on Investigation Discovery, will air the episode "Vanished in the Heartland" at 10 p.m. today. It profiles the missing persons case of Dee Ann Warner, a businesswoman and mother of five from Tipton, a news release said.

Warner has been missing for almost a year and a half. She was last seen on April 24, 2021, and was reported missing the next day after her daughter arrived to meet for breakfast and she was not home.

"The family initially suspects her husband, Dale, has something to do with her disappearance, but Dale insists she just took off," a summary of the episode says. "The police search the farm and their property and turn up nothing. They soon learn that Dale isn't the only one with whom Dee Ann has an issue — one of her employees has been sending her threatening text messages. Authorities wonder if the employee might have something to do with her disappearance but soon rule that out. The family is desperate for answers and hires private investigator Billy Little who promises to break the case wide open."

"Disappeared" shines a light on individuals who vanished seemingly without a trace and aims to facilitate answers about the missing in order to bring closure to their loved ones, the release said.

Each episode of "Disappeared"begins immediately before the individual vanished and chronicles the search for clues hidden beneath seemingly everyday behavior that may indicate what happened to them, the release said. At the end of each episode, information for the local police departments is shared in the event that a viewer has fresh leads or new information to share.

In August, the Michigan State Police accepted a request from Lenawee County Sheriff Troy Bevier to take over the investigation.
