2024 Masters: Tee times for Texas products Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth

The most celebrated, traditional golf tournament of the year is here. The 2024 Masters begin on Wednesday at Augusta, Georgia.

In it, two very notable Texas alumni will be attempting to win the tournament for a second time. Jordan Spieth and Scottie Scheffler are two of the best golfers of the past decade, with both claiming the spot as top golfer in the world at some point.

Scheffler, the current No. 1, won his first major at Augusta back in 2022. He's won two of his last three appearances and finished tied for second in his last tournament, the Texas Children's Houston Open. However, there's a chance that he may not even finish the Masters if his wife goes into labor.

Spieth meanwhile, has had a rocky start to the 2024 season. He's finished in the top 10 in only one tournament so far, missing cuts in two other appearances and being disqualified for an inaccurate scorecard at the Genesis Invitational. His last major win came in 2017 at the British Open. Spieth is also dealing with a wrist injury going in that may affect his performance.
