    Red Stars down Bay FC 2-1 to snap 2-game slide, Current remain undefeated

    Ally Schlegel scored the go-ahead goal in the second half to give the Chicago Red Stars a 2-1 victory over Bay FC on Sunday night in the National Women's Soccer League. Penelope Hocking also scored for the Red Stars (4-3-1), who snapped a two-game losing streak at PayPal Park in San Jose, California. Three of Chicago's wins have come on the road.

    Galaxy's McCarthy, Sounders' Frei stellar in scoreless draw

    John McCarthy finished with five saves for Los Angeles and Stefan Frei stopped three shots for Seattle as the Galaxy and Sounders played to a scoreless draw on Sunday. McCarthy had four saves and Frei stopped the only shot he faced in the first half. Frei became available to play for the Sounders (2-5-4) after the red card he received in a match against D.C. United last weekend was rescinded by an independent review panel.
