Athlete Profile
- Qualified for his third Olympics, finishing second in the 100m freestyle to Garrett Weber-Gale at the 2008 trials. He set an American record in a semifinal heat of that race, finishing in 47.58, just off the world record of 47.50 established in March by France's Alain Bernard.
- Lezak will also race in the 4x100m freestyle relay in Beijing.
- Member of the gold-medalist 400m FR-F at the 2007 FINA World Championships.
- Earned three medals at the 2006 Pan Pacifics, including individual silver in the 100m free and relay gold on the 400m free and medley relays; anchored the 400m free relay that recaptured the world record.
- Gold medalist on world record-breaking 400m medley relay at the 2004 Athens Games, in addition to winning bronze in the 400m free relay.
