Athlete Profile

  • Qualified for his third Olympics, finishing second in the 100m freestyle to Garrett Weber-Gale at the 2008 trials. He set an American record in a semifinal heat of that race, finishing in 47.58, just off the world record of 47.50 established in March by France's Alain Bernard.
  • Lezak will also race in the 4x100m freestyle relay in Beijing.
  • Member of the gold-medalist 400m FR-F at the 2007 FINA World Championships.
