Columbus Blue Jackets center Jeff Carter(notes) was no doubt a little surprised when he was traded away from the Philadelphia Flyers earlier this year. And now he's probably a little disappointed that an old injury has returned only five games into the season with his new team.
The Columbus Dispatch has it that Carter is questionable for Tuesday's game vs. Dallas -- and possibly beyond -- after re-injuring his right foot in a 4-2 loss to the Dallas Stars Saturday.
"It's a little hairline crack in his foot where he took a shot," Blue Jackets coach Scott Arniel said, the Dispatch reports. "It's an old injury. We'll see where it's at. It's on the top [of the foot]. We're hoping it won't be too long here. He's questionable for Tuesday, but we might get him back for the weekend. The ones on top you can sometimes play through."
Carter has three assists for the Blue Jackets.
