The Rangers-Hurricanes Game 2 battle at the Garden keeps getting more chippy by the minute. A period after Igor Shesterkin was taken out by Andrei Svechnikov as the Rangers goalie played the puck behind the net — which led the Blueshirts to bum-rush the Hurricanes winger in defense of their goalie — the bad blood continued to emerge. In the second period, Carolina defenseman Tony De'Angelo, a once and controversial Rangers blueliner, was caught on camera exchanging non-pleasantries with K'Andre Miller. Greg Wyshynski is ESPN's senior NHL writer. "I don't give two you-know-what's about it," said DeAngelo, who played for the Rangers from 2016-2021. The Rangers' torrid power play needed just 23 seconds to score twice in the first period.
A two-goal margin on the power play was the difference for the Hurricanes in Sunday’s 4-3 loss to the Rangers to open the second round.
