When Tim Ruskell took over as president and general manager of the Seattle Seahawks five years ago, he immediately put together a team that won more games than any other Seahawks team before it (13) and went to the Super Bowl, losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Things look a little different now. Ruskell is in the final year of his contract and he apparently would like to put himself out of his misery a little early. He is supposedly going to resign today, according o the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. His team is currently 4-7 and only kept out of last place in the NFC West by the hapless St. Louis Rams at 1-10.
Ex-Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren is supposedly the top candidate to take over.
