Amidst medical mystery, Georgia’s Trenton Thompson withdraws from spring semester classes

While the details are very hazy at the moment, a member of the Georgia football team has apparently suffered a health scare recently that calls into question his short-term future with the football program. Five Maine players suspended following a fight over locker room music

There was not much love being spread in the Maine basketball locker room on Valentine’s Day. A locker room fight led to the suspensions of five players, including the team’s leading scorer. According to Larry Mahoney of the Bangor Daily News, who obtained the police report, the incident was the result of teammates Wes Myers and Marko Pirovic arguing over locker room music on Feb. 14. Myers wanted the music off, Pirovic, who stands five inches taller and outweighs Myers by 25 pounds, refused. Jaquan McKennon, Ilija Stojiljkovic and Dusan Majstorovic were all suspended, but reinstated on Wednesday, for

Kansas guard Devonte’ Graham arrested over unpaid ticket

Kansas guard Devonte’ Graham was arrested and booked into Douglas County Jail late on Wednesday night on a failure to appear for court charge, according to jail records. The charge, according to the Lawrence Journal-World, was a result of an unpaid ticket for an expired tag that Graham had received. It dates back to June of last year. The arrest was a damper on what should have been a great night for Graham. He had 17 points and seven assists in a home win over TCU that clinched the 13th straight Big 12 regular season title for the Jayhawks. It was also his 22nd birthday. He was released on $196 bond Wednesday night. Bill Self said he will not be suspended for the arrest.
