Los Angeles Lakers swingman Ron Artest(notes) made it clear a few weeks ago that he was planning to play in England for the British Basketball League's Cheshire Jets, but now it's looking like Artest's journey back to Merry Old England may not even happen.
Artest's agent, David Bauman, is saying that the Jets haven't offered Artest insurance, which Bauman terms a "major problem" that might keep Artest from playing there, according to the Los Angeles Times.
"It's still on the table," Bauman said Tuesday, the Times reports. "But again, this insurance thing is a significant and a serious obstacle for any of the NBA players."
Artest averaged 8.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game last season.
