The Charlotte Bobcats have signed veteran point guard Earl Boykins for the remainder of the 2007-08 season on Thursday. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Boykins will join the Bobcats wearing jersey #11 on Friday when they face Golden State.
"Earl Boykins is a proven talent in this league and a player we feel very fortunate to add to our roster without having to disturb the chemistry and core of this team," said general manager Rod Higgins. "His production over the past few seasons was evidence enough that he could make an immediate impact, while adding experience and depth to our backcourt."

Bad decision by the Cats, but they couldn't predict that May would be this injury prone. But Felton wasn't top-5 stuff either. They probably could've swung some deals and gotten Paul and Andrew Bynum. Think how smart they would look now if they had done that.

From today, until the end of the season, they will be the worst team in the NBA.
Maybe Bob Johnson should consider becoming an EOE (equal opportunity employer)?

Pg. Felton (solid Pg)
Sg. J.Rich (scorer)
Sf. Wallace (versatile scorer)
Pf. Okafor (best player)
C. Mohammed (plus if he continues next year) / May (if not return of May will help)
6th. Boykins (solid scoring backup)
7th. Morrison (flat out scorer)
8th. Carroll (can shoot) -Derek Anderson is said to retire this year that'll help this young team -
9th. Davidson/Dudey (two solid young studs)
11th. Hollins/Harrington.
This team will be a fast paced scoring team that parallels to the Grizzlies three year playoff run fast moving offense.
