The New York Yankees will be the first stop on the free-agent tour of Jorge Posada, however, the veteran catcher told Newsday other teams have already contacted him.
"The Mets are interested; they've contacted us," Posada said. "The Mets, the Marlins, Toronto, all of them are interested."
While the Yankees are first on the list, Posada indicated he will not sign with anyone this week. The New York Daily News reported Tuesday that Posada is seeking a four-year deal. The News, quoting Yankee sources, said the Yankees have internally discussed an offer of three years and $40 million.
