Player Notes
Brad Miller finished 2-for-4 with a triple, run scored and three RBI Monday as the Mariners beat the Astros 4-1.

Advice: Miller is 7-for-13 with a double, triple, homer, steal, five RBI and two runs scored in his last four games. Hopefully he'll close out the month hot, because this has been a season to forget for Miller. After a promising .265/.318/.418 slash line as a 23-year-old rookie last year, he's fallen off to a .217 average and .655 OPS. Interestingly, his WAR was 2.0 last year, and not far off now with a 1.4 mark in 2014 in comparable at-bats.

Brad Miller finished 4-for-4 with a double and a steal against the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Miller is playing a lot more now after taking a backseat to Chris Taylor in August, and he's producing, with nine hits and two homers in 18 at-bats over his last six games. The talent is there for him to keep it up, but that hinges on the Mariners continuing to use him.
