Player Notes
T.J. House scattered six hits and allowed two runs over five innings in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Twins.

Advice: This was a much needed win for the Indians, as they desperately attempt to cling to life in the Wild Card race heading into the final week. They're currently 3.5 back of the final playoff slot. House wasn't spectacular, but he mostly held the Twins at bay during his time on the mound. Both of the runs on his line came off of RBI grounders and he was able to limit the damage to singular runs. In addition to the six hits allowed, House walked one and struck out five. In September, House has allowed just three runs in 19 innings. He holds a 3.43 ERA and 1.34 WHIP overall. By the time he takes the mound for his final start of the regular season against the Rays next weekend, House and the Indians should know whether they have any shot at the playoffs.

The Indians will skip T.J. House's next turn in the rotation following last week's rainout.

Advice: House holds a 0.86 ERA over his last three outings, but they can make this move in order to limit his innings a bit and also set him up to start against the Twins, who he has a 1.56 ERA in three starts against this season. "We wanted to stay right-handed against Houston," said manager Terry Francona. "Then when we get to Minnesota, we'll insert T.J. Rather than push guys back that don't need to be pushed back, we'll let him pitch against a team that maybe matches up better against him. It's all because of the double header."
