Player Notes
Batting cleanup in his third big-league game, George Springer went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a steal on Friday.

Advice: Springer's first two hits Wednesday and Thursday were both infield singles, but he had a couple to the outfield tonight. He also reached on an error in the first. It was probably a little better for his fantasy value if he remained a No. 2 hitter, but it shouldn't matter much as long as he stays in the top four.

George Springer went 1-for-5 with a walk and a caught stealing in his major league debut Wednesday against the Royals.

Advice: Springer's hit was a little tapper that he beat out. He also scored one of the Astros' four runs tonight.

George Springer is batting second in his major league debut on Wednesday night against the Royals.

Advice: Houston will throw the ultra-talented young outfielder right into the fire. Springer was batting .353/.459/.647 with three home runs in 13 games this year at Triple-A Oklahoma City and is a must-have in all standard fantasy leagues. The 24-year-old compiled a .959 OPS, 65 homers, 85 steals, and 207 RBI in 284 minor league games.

Astros purchased the contract of OF George Springer from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: News broke late Tuesday night that Springer was getting a promotion, and now the move is official. The top prospect has hit .353 with three homers, nine RBI and four stolen bases in his first 13 contests for Oklahoma City this season after batting .303/.411/.600 with 37 longballs and 45 steals last year. He'll play every day -- likely in right field -- and needs to be owned in all fantasy formats.

Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Astros will promote top prospect George Springer from Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to Wednesday's game.

Advice: The report has been confirmed by various other outlets. Springer earned the promotion after a 3-for-4 effort Tuesday that included a grand slam. The young outfielder has hit .353 with three homers, nine RBI and four stolen bases in his first 13 contests for Oklahoma City. He figures to take over right field for the Astros and needs to be owned in all fantasy formats. Robbie Grossman has been optioned to Triple-A to make room for Springer.

Astros outfield prospect George Springer launched his second home run of the season as part of a 2-for-3 day.

Advice: Springer has eight hits (including two home runs and a triple) and four walks as part of a .421/.522/.842 over his past five games. He also has three stolen bases and five strikeouts. Once the Super 2 deadline passes in June, expect to see him patrolling center field in Minute Maid Park.
