Player Notes
Starlin Castro slugged a walkoff solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning Wednesday as the Yankees beat the visiting Rockies 9-8.

Advice: Castro took Jason Motte deep on the second pitch of the bottom of the ninth inning with the score tied 8-8. It was Castro's third hit in the slugfest -- the other two being singles. He's batting .257/.290/.419 with 10 home runs and 28 RBI in 69 games this season.

Starlin Castro is not in the Yankees starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Twins.

Advice: It's just a regular day of rest for the 26-year-old second baseman who's slashing .255/.291/.414 with nine homers and 27 RBI on the season. Rob Refsnyder is starting in his place and will bat eighth against Ricky Nolasco and the Twins.
