Player Notes
Josh Reddick hit his first home run of the season in Saturday's 5-0 win over the Royals.

Advice: Reddick launched a three-run shot off Yordano Ventura in the fourth inning. Next batter Brett Lawrie paid the bill, as Ventura plunked him and was ejected. Lawrie's hard slide into Royals shortstop Alcides Escobar on Friday set all of this off. Extracurricular activity aside, Reddick finished the game 2-for-4. He had been on the shelf for more than a month as he recovered from an oblique injury. Reddick hit 12 home runs in his 2013 and 2014 campaigns, both of which were shortened by injuries. When healthy, he's a potential 20-plus home run player.

Athletics activated OF Josh Reddick from the 15-day disabled list.

Advice: Reddick got through a couple rehab games with no issues and will be in the lineup on Sunday against Felix Hernandez and the Mariners. It's been over a month since the outfielder first injured his oblique.

Josh Reddick (oblique) is expected to be activated from the disabled list on Sunday.

Advice: Initially the A's had targeted a Saturday turn, but with the club squaring off against southpaw J.A. Happ, they'll give Reddick an extra day. His return should cut into the playing time of Mark Canha, and perhaps Marcus Semien as Ben Zobrist will be free to be utilized all over the infield.
