Player Notes
Randal Grichuk is starting in right field for the Cardinals in Game 4 of the NLCS against the Giants.

Advice: Grichuk will again get the nod over Oscar Taveras. It's the same eight position players that the Cardinals used in Game 3 of this series, with A.J. Pierzynski again filling in for injured catcher Yadier Molina. Here's the full lineup card: Matt Carpenter 3B, Jon Jay CF, Matt Holliday LF, Matt Adams 1B, Jhonny Peralta SS, Kolten Wong 2B, A.J. Pierzynski C, Randal Grichuk RF, Shelby Miller SP.

Randal Grichuk smacked a solo homer in one of his four plate appearances in Tuesday's loss to the Giants.

Advice: Grichuk again started over Oscar Taveras even though there was a right-hander on the mound. While he misplayed a catchable ball in tough conditions in the first inning that helped lead to three runs, he made up for it with a blast off the foul pole in the seventh inning that knotted things up. The rookie is hitting just .185/.214/.407 overall this postseason but has gone deep twice.

Randal Grichuk is in right field and batting eighth in Sunday's NLCS Game 2.

Advice: Grichuk has just two singles in 19 at-bats since homering off Clayton Kershaw in his first postseason at-bat, but Cardinals manager Mike Matheny is continuing to roll with him in right field over Oscar Taveras. Preceding Grichuk in the Cards' lineup will be Matt Carpenter, Jon Jay, Matt Holliday, Matt Adams, Jhonny Peralta, Yadier Molina and Kolten Wong.
