Player Notes
FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal hears that the Giants have re-signed Sergio Romo to a two-year, $15 million deal.

Advice: Romo had an up-and-down 2014 season, ending the year with a 3.72 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 59/12 K/BB ratio over 58 innings. While he drew interest from multiple big-market teams, he's apparently decided that he's most comfortable remaining with the reigning champs. They'll be getting him on a relatively cheap deal in comparison to other relievers this off-season.

Chris Cotillo of MLBDailyDish.com reports that Sergio Romo is expected to sign "hopefully in the next few days."

Advice: Romo has drawn interest from Dodgers, Yankees and Red Sox and the Giants haven't given up hope to re-sign him. The 31-year-old lost his closer job in 2014 but still wound up having a fine year, posting a 3.72 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 59/12 K/BB ratio over 58 innings. Based on the teams with interest in him, it appears Romo is likely looking at a setup role next season.

ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports that the Dodgers, Yankees, and Red Sox all have interest in free agent reliever Sergio Romo.

Advice: And the Giants are also interested in bringing him back. Romo struggled in the early part of 2014 before losing his grip on the closer role, but he pitched well down the stretch and should be able to find a multi-year deal, especially with these teams involved. Relievers are doing very well in free agency right now.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that Sergio Romo has been in touch with the Giants and Tigers.

Advice: Romo was also talking with the Astros, but he'll have to look elsewhere now that the club has reportedly signed both Luke Gregerson and Pat Neshek. With the money being thrown around to relievers, the 31-year-old should do well for himself in free agency, even though his ERA has increased in each of the past three seasons.

Evan Drellich of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Astros have had discussions with the representatives of Sergio Romo and Luke Gregerson.

Advice: The Astros missed out on both Andrew Miller and David Robertson, but they remain intent on signing at least one reliever. Landing in Houston would be good for the fantasy prospects of either Romo or Gregerson, as they'd both likely be the first option to close. Gregerson will reportedly get at least a three-year deal.
