Player Notes
ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports that the Rays "are getting some calls" on Steve Pearce and there's a "decent chance he gets moved by the deadline."

Advice: It makes sense that there would be interest in Pearce, as he's a versatile player who's having a great year with a .322/.393/.522 batting line. He's also owed less than $2 million for the rest of the season before hitting free agency this winter. Crasnick lists the Giants and Indians as clubs that are "among potential fits" for Pearce, with the Mets also a potential possibility.

Steve Pearce is not in the Rays starting lineup on Thursday.

Advice: It's just a routine day off for Pearce, who played in two straight games after being activated from the disabled list on Tuesday. Look for him back in his customary cleanup spot in the order on Friday.

Rays activated 1B/DH Steve Pearce from the 15-day disabled list.

Advice: Pearce had no issues during a brief minor league rehab assignment and will be back with the Rays for Tuesday's game. The 33-year-old has been out since June 20 with a hamstring strain.

Steve Pearce (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the disabled list on Tuesday.

Advice: Pearce, out for about a month with a hamstring injury, went 3-for-7 with a double and a walk in two rehab games over the weekend. He was batting .322 with nine homers and a .933 OPS in 51 games prior to the injury.

Steve Pearce (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment Friday with High-A Charlotte.

Advice: Pearce made it through a workout Thursday at Tropicana Field without issue and was given clearance for live games. Out since June 20 with a hamstring strain, he should be back with the Rays early next week.
