Recommendation: He and Carlos Ruiz have tried hard to provide the Phillies with some offense while they wait for the return of Ryan Howard and Chase Utley, but it's been tough. Pence should benefit greatly from their return as opposing pitchers will be less able to avoid his bat with other significant threats in the lineup around him.

OF Hunter Pence hit his third career walk-off home run to give Philadelphia a 4-3 victory over the Astros on Tuesday. It was his first since July 3, 2007, as a member of the Astros against former Phillies reliever Jose Mesa at Minute Maid Park. It was Pence's eighth multi-home run game and his second of the season.
