SS Asdrubal Cabrera will be the everyday shortstop and SS Johnny Peralta the everyday third baseman in the wake of Mark DeRosa's trade Saturday to St. Louis, manager Eric Wedge said. Rookie Luis Valbuena, who has been impressive despite some unimpressive offensive numbers, wlll get consistent playing time at second base as the Indians' focus shifts now to getting some looks at some younger players with an eye towards 2010.
