Player Notes
Asdrubal Cabrera finished 2-for-3 with a two-run homer Wednesday in the Mets' 4-3 defeat of the Royals.

Advice: Cabrera drew a walk and scored a run in the fourth inning and then cranked a two-run shot off Royals starter Danny Duffy in the bottom of the fifth. He also homered on Tuesday night and now has eight home runs for the year to go along with a decent .270/.330/.418 slash line.

Asdrubal Cabrera hit his seventh home run of the season in Tuesday's win over the Royals.

Advice: The second batter Royals starter Ian Kennedy faced on the evening, Cabrera hit a hanging curve to the opposite field, just clearing the wall in left-center. It was his only hit in four at-bats. The 30-year-old is batting .265/.324/.403 with seven homers, 22 RBI and 26 runs scored in his first season with the Mets.
