Player Notes
Joey Votto stayed hot on Saturday, going 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and a stolen base.

Advice: Votto got off to a very slow start this season, but has been back to his usual stellar self for a good while now. For the season he is slashing .275/.410/.484 and that line is likely to continue its steady climb down the stretch. He has 17 home runs, 58 runs, 50 RBI and seven stolen bases.

Sat, Jul 23 Rotoworld
Joey Votto blasted a three-run homer in the first inning on Friday, propelling the Reds to a 6-2 victory over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Votto victimized Archie Bradley after Billy Hamilton and Zack Cozart had reached to open the game. He finished the night 1-for-3 plus a pair of walks and scored two runs. Votto continues to be a force in the middle of the Reds lineup, hitting .271/.406/.483 with 17 homers and 50 RBI.

Fri, Jul 22 Rotoworld
Joey Votto slugged his 16th home run of the season Wednesday in the Reds' defeat of the Braves.

Advice: It was a two-run shot in the seventh inning off Braves reliever Ian Krol. Votto has been on a tear since the All-Star break and is capable of being one of the most productive hitters in baseball down the stretch.

Wed, Jul 20 Rotoworld
Joey Votto reached all five times he was up Tuesday, going 2-for-2 with three walks against the Braves.

Advice: Votto is hitting .405 with 14 walks in 13 games this month, giving him a .544 OBP. Still, he's not tearing it up elsewhere, at least not for fantasy purposes. He has one homer, five RBI and nine runs scored in July. He'd probably have more runs scored if he weren't batting third.

Tue, Jul 19 Rotoworld
Joey Votto had an RBI single and a two-run homer in Monday's victory over the Braves.

Advice: The Reds didn't score in the first three frames but exploded with three longballs off of Matt Wisler in the fourth inning, with Zack Cozart and Eugenio Suarez joining Votto. The veteran first baseman's slow start to the season is a distant memory, as he's now up to .395 with his on-base percentage and is on pace for 26 home runs and 91 runs scored.

Mon, Jul 18 Rotoworld
Joey Votto went 4-for-5 and scored the Reds' only run of the night on Saturday.

Advice: One of the hits was a double. Votto got off to a miserable start to the season but has been hitting very well since early June. He has his line up to .261/.390/.452 with 14 home runs in 303 at-bats. He had an historic second-half last year. His owners are hoping for something similar this year and he is off to a good start.
