Player Notes
Evan Longoria went 0-for-3 in Wednesday's 6-0 loss to the Tigers, snapping his eight-game hitting streak.

Advice: Longoria has been attempting to bulk up his uncharacteristically pedestrian numbers, but Tigers starter Rick Porcello was dominant on Wednesday, rendering the third baseman hitless on the evening. Longoria still has about six more weeks to pick up his lackluster .252/.325/.389 slash line.

Evan Longoria singled and knocked in both of the Rays' runs in Sunday's loss to the Yankees.

Advice: The Rays couldn't get much going against Hiroki Kuroda. Longoria put the Rays on the board early, driving in a run with a ground out in the first inning. He then brought the Rays to within one run with a seventh-inning RBI single to make it 3-2. The third baseman has been swinging a better bat as of late, as he's now on a seven-game hitting streak. On the season, he carries a .253/.323/.391 slash line with 15 home runs and 66 RBI.

Evan Longoria went 2-for-5 with an RBI single and a two-run home run as the Rays defeated the Rangers on Thursday.

Advice: Longoria extended the Rays' lead to 3-0 with his third-inning RBI single, and later boosted his club's lead to 5-2 with a fifth-inning two-run home run off of Robbie Ross. The third baseman hasn't had a great 2014, as he has 15 home runs, 63 RBI, and an uncharacteristic .253/.325/.395 slash line.
