Player Notes
Alex Gordon went 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Indians.

Advice: Gordon had a couple singles and a walk, scoring twice on extra-base hits from Eric Hosmer. After a frigid start at the dish, Gordon is now hitting .284/.396/.457 with 12 runs scored and 14 RBI.

Alex Gordon went 1-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's loss to the Tigers.

Advice: As a team, the Royals managed just six hits against Anibal Sanchez and company. Typically a middle-of-the-order bat, Gordon was hitting leadoff on Sunday with normal leadoff man Alcides Escobar currently nursing an injury. Gordon's hitting .269/.380/.449 with three home runs, 13 RBI and 10 runs scored, though he's recorded just one hit in his last 12 at-bats.

CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Royals "plan to try to do what they can to keep Alex Gordon long-term."

Advice: Gordon, 31, has a $13.25 million player option for 2016 that he's expected to decline and then seek a long-term contract. The Royals' resources are relatively limited, but it sounds like they might be willing to pony up to keep Gordon around for a while longer. The four-time Gold Glover is batting .303/.425/.500 with three homers and 13 RBI this season.

Batting leadoff with Alcides Escobar out, Alex Gordon went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a walk against the Tigers on Thursday.

Advice: When manager Ned Yost surprised everyone by announcing Mike Moustakas as his No. 2 hitter at the end of the spring, part of his reasoning is that he though Gordon was more comfortable hitting in the middle of the lineup. Unfortunately, but the middle of the lineup, he means the sixth spot, which is no good for his fantasy value. Gordon did great leading off tonight, but it's probably right back to the lower-middle with him once Escobar returns.

Fri, May 1 Rotoworld
Alex Gordon went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks, an RBI single, and a solo home run on Tuesday as the Royals topped the Indians.

Advice: Gordon put the Royals on the board in the second inning with a solo home run off of Trevor Bauer. He added an RBI single in the sixth inning to break a 2-2 tie. Gordon seems to have found his stride after a slow start to the season, having notched multi-hit games in four of his last five starts. He's batting .293/.423/.500 with three home runs and 11 RBI.
