Player Notes
Adam Jones has accepted an invitation to participate in the 2014 Home Run Derby at Target Field.

Advice: Jones' teammate Nelson Cruz declined an invitation from American League captain Jose Bautista, as did Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera. Jones has 16 homers in 90 games this season and 156 home runs for his career. The 2014 Home Run Derby is next Monday night.

Adam Jones went 2-for-3 with a sacrifice fly, an RBI single, and a solo home run in Wednesday's victory over the Rangers.

Advice: Jones has been a roll at the plate lately -- he entered the night with a 1.076 OPS over his last 12 games -- and it continued on Wednesday against the Rangers. He homered in the fourth, sending a Miles Mikolas offering into the left field seats. The outfielder now has 16 homers, 52 RBI, and a great .307/.330/.510 slash line.
