Angels manager Mike Scioscia said it's possible Jered Weaver (elbow) could be activated after his appearance at extended spring training on Wednesday.
Advice: That would put him in line to rejoin the rotation early next week, which would be a little earlier than expected. Weaver is coming back from a fractured left (non-throwing) elbow and appears to be fully healed, so it's all about getting his stamina up at this point. The Los Angeles Times' Bill Shaikin speculates that he could replace Joe Blanton in the rotation.
