Weaver picked up his eighth win of the season by limiting the Blue Jays to just two runs and six hits in 7.1 innings of work during Friday night's 8-2 victory.
Recommendation: A much better outcome for Weaver after taking the loss despite throwing six innings of no-hit ball Saturday night against the Dodgers. Friday night Weaver walked just one batter and struck out six. While he's just 8-8 with a 4.17 ERA, Weaver has pitched better then his record indicates. He's given up just three runs in his last three starts.

RHP Jered Weaver was taken out of the game for a pinch-hitter after six innings even though he had a no-hitter. The Angels were trailing 1-0 and had a runner on second with two outs when manager Mike Scioscia told Weaver his outing was over, and the reliever Jose Arredondo pitched two hitless innings to keep the no-hitter going. But the Angels couldn't scratch out a run and lost by that 1-0 score.
