Player Notes
Billy Butler hit a two-run home run and drove in four runs in Wednesday's 9-2 win over the Angels.

Advice: Butler drove in his runs with variety on Wednesday, notching an RBI grounder in the first inning, a two-run homer off Vinnie Pestano in the seventh and an RBI single in the eighth. The homer was Butler's third of the season. The longtime Royal is off to a blistering start with the A's and is currently slashing .377/.433/.590 with three home runs, 12 RBI and 10 runs scored.

Billy Butler clubbed a solo home run, providing the Athletics their only run as they were trampled by the Angels on Tuesday.

Advice: Butler took Hector Santiago out to left-center in the third inning, reducing the Athletics' deficit at the time to 4-1. With his second home run of the season, he is already 22 percent of the way towards matching last year's disappointing total of nine. The DH is batting a terrific .375/.435/.554 to begin the season.
