Player Notes
Billy Butler went 2-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored in Wednesday's win over the Rockies.

Advice: The second-inning triple was just Butler's fifth in 4,599 career at-bats. He scored later in the inning and added an RBI single in the fifth. The big man is batting .259/.323/.376 on the year.

Wed, Jul 1 Rotoworld
Billy Butler had a big night, going 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two RBI, and three runs scored in Monday's win against the Rockies.

Advice: Butler singled and scored in the first inning, clubbed a solo home run in the fourth, knocked in a run with a double in the eighth and later scored on Brett Lawrie's triple. Aside from a four-hit night on June 17, Butler hadn't done anything at the plate, batting a miserable .179 (10-for-56) since June 5. Overall, he's hitting .254/.315/.366 with six home runs and 34 RBI.

Mon, Jun 29 Rotoworld
Billy Butler went 0-for-4 in Friday's loss to the Royals and is hitting .197 with one homer and six RBI in 66 at-bats during June.

Advice: If Butler were on a one-year deal instead of a three-year pact, he'd be a real candidate for a benching. As is, the A's will likely stick with him and hope for the best. He's been a liability thus far.
