Player Notes
An MRI taken Wednesday on Scott Feldman's right shoulder showed no major structural damage.

Advice: "Just irritation right now," Feldman told reporters. "Hopefully it's just a couple extra days off and we'll go from there." The right-hander made an early exit from his start Tuesday night against the Mariners after experiencing some discomfort in his throwing shoulder, but it sounds like a minor issue. It won't be hard for the Astros to skip him one time through their rotation.

Scott Feldman (shoulder) will undergo an MRI on Wednesday.

Advice: Feldman revealed after Tuesday's start that his shoulder discomfort gradually built up during the game before it finally forced him to exit in the third. The Astros are currently rolling with a six-man rotation, but it looks like they might be forced to go back to a traditional five-man set.

Scott Feldman left Tuesday's start against the Mariners with right shoulder discomfort.

Advice: Feldman might have been pitching hurt all night, as he entered the game on a hot streak and then proceeded to allow three runs on three hits and five walks over 2 2/3 frames. It's unclear at this point whether he'll be sent for an MRI, but it would seem likely. The Astros should have more on his status after the game.

Scott Feldman pitched eight scoreless innings, but was left with a no-decision as the Astros fell to the Yankees on Monday.

Advice: Feldman traded zeroes with opposing starter Nate Eovaldi for all eight innings, scattering six hits with no walks and six strikeouts. He has been quite good over his last six starts, brandishing a 1.80 ERA. On the season, the right-hander has a 3.75 ERA with a 1.27 WHIP and a 59/22 K/BB ratio over 105 2/3 innings. Feldman will face the Twins at the end of a road trip next.
