Player Notes
Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press reports that the Tigers got in touch with the Marlins to gauge their interest in reliever Justin Wilson.

Advice: It's unclear if the Marlins were receptive, but the Marlins could consider multiple avenues if they miss out on Aroldis Chapman and Kenley Jansen. Wilson earned $1.525 million this past season while posting a 4.14 ERA and 65/17 K/BB ratio over 58 2/3 innings. He's reportedly been a popular name in trade talks.

Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reports that the Rangers have talked to the Tigers about the availability of Justin Wilson.

Advice: It's not a big surprise, as MLB Network's Jon Morosi reported late last week that Wilson has "received perhaps the largest number of inquiries" among the Tigers' trade candidates. The 29-year-old southpaw posted a mediocre 4.14 ERA while allowing a career-high six home runs in 2016, but his 65/17 K/BB ratio over 58 2/3 innings shows why teams are targeting him. He earned $1.525 million in 2016 and will be arbitration-eligible for the second time this winter.

Justin Wilson has "received perhaps the largest number of inquiries" of the Tigers' trade candidates, per Jon Morosi of MLB Network.

Advice: You'd think J.D. Martinez or Miguel Cabrera would be more popular, but pretty much every team needs left-handed relief help. Wilson struggled with the Tigers in 2016, but he owns a sharp 3.28 career ERA and 258 strikeouts in 258 major league innings. The 29-year-old is arbitration-eligible for the second time after earning $1.525 million this past season.
