Kazmir (quad) posted his second straight quality start on Friday night. He allowed two runs over five innings in Texas, striking out six while walking only one.
Recommendation: Not a bad outing considering it was in Texas against a potent Ranger lineup. Kazmir appears over the quad injury and is a safe start going forward.

LHP Scott Kazmir made a successful return to the Rays rotation on Saturday, allowing two runs on four hits over five innings. Manager Joe Maddon called it a "very impressive" return and said he was most impressed with Kazmir's fastball command and the quality of his slider and changeup.

Kazmir likely will make his first start in more than a month this weekend against Florida, and manager Joe Maddon faces a decision on whether Andy Sonnanstine, rookie David Price or Jeff Niemann will be moved to the bullpen or minor leagues.
