LHP Noah Lowry played catch before the game, a significant event considering this is the first week in which he's throwing since being shelved with a tingling sensation in the wake of his forearm surgery in spring training. Lowry threw about 20 times. He still hopes to throw this year, but it's doubtful. |

Henry Schulman, of the San Francisco Chronicle, reports San Francisco Giants SP Noah Lowry (forearm) played catch Thursday, July 17. He tossed 20 throws from around 30 feet and reported no pain. Lowry plans to throw Saturday, July 19, and hopes to return later this season. |
