Advice: Mauer, whose batting average dipped below on June 23, was hitting just .212 (7 for 33) with one RBI in his previous nine games.

Recommendation: Mauer has a decent shot to go into the All Star break hitting .400. While he's still leading the AL in OPS and Batting Average, he had just three home runs in June after hitting 11 in May.

His batting average (which at its peak in June hit .436) still does not qualify as the major leagues' best because he doesn't have the requisite number of plate appearances after missing April with a lower back injury.
