Player Notes
Joe Mauer contributed two hits and scored two runs Thursday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Mauer has been striking out more than usual -- 17 times in 14 games -- but he has his average up to .293, and with nine walks mixed in, he's scored 10 runs. That's quite an improvement over his pace from last year, when, despite a .404 OBP, he scored just 62 times in 113 games.

Joe Mauer went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Royals.

Advice: Mauer had two of the team's five hits in the game. He got off to a slow start but has turned it on lately, with Sunday representing his fifth multi-hit game in his last eight games. Mauer also stole his first base of the year in the game.

Thu, Apr 17 Rotoworld
Joe Mauer went 2-for-4 with his first home run of the season Saturday against the Royals.

Advice: Mauer capped off a six-run second inning against James Shields with a three-run homer. It was his first home run since last August 16. Things should only get better from here for the Twins' new regular first baseman.

Sun, Apr 13 Rotoworld
Joe Mauer went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Thursday's loss to the Athletics.

Advice: The Twins' new regular first baseman is off to a bit of a quiet start this season, hitting .250 with two extra-base hits (both doubles) and zero RBI through nine games. However, he still has a shiny .386 on-base percentage. Look for him to get it going soon.
