OF Coco Crisp blasted his first home run at Fenway Park this season in the loss to the Angels after the speedy outfielder hit his first five home runs of the 2008 season on the road. The long ball was his first home run at Fenway since blasting a round-tripper on July 5, 2007, and was only his second home four-bagger in a span of 108 games dating back to Sept. 6, 2006. The home run was also only the second one hit out of the No. 9 spot in the lineup for the Sox this season. |

Crisp started in center field Wednesday and hit a two-run homer, providing all the offense that the Red Sox mustered against Joe Saunders and the Angels. Recommendation: Jacoby Ellsbury has been struggling for the last couple months, which opens up some opportunity for Crisp to play his way into the lineup a little more consistently, but Crisp has never managed to recapture the hitting form he had as a member of the Indians. |
