SS Marco Scutaro has not ruled out accepting an arbitration offer from the Jays if one is offered, according to reports. Classified as a Type A free agent, the Jays would have to offer Scutaro arbitration if they want to receive two compensatory picks in the 2010 player draft. The Jays are interested in bring Scutaro, 34, back in 2010 after his career season where he hit .282 with a .379 on-base percentage. He also set career highs in walks (90), runs scored (100), home runs (12) and RBIs (60). |

Scutaro hasn't ruled out the possibility of returning to the Jays on a one-year deal if he's offered arbitration, the team's official site reports. Recommendation: It's hard to imagine he won't try to cash in on his career year and sign a multi-year offer somewhere but the Jays are fully expected to offer him salary arbitration in any event. |
