Player Notes
Brandon Phillips doubled and scored a run in Wednesday's win over the Twins.

Advice: Playing in his first game since Sunday, Phillips just snuck in ahead of a throw from left fielder Shane Robinson to score on Joey Votto's sac fly in the third inning. Billy Hamilton later scored on an error and that was all the Reds needed in the pitcher's duel. Phillips has a modest seven-game hitting streak going.

Brandon Phillips (thumbs) is back in the Reds' lineup Wednesday.

Advice: Phillips sat out the last two games with soreness in both of his thumbs. With Phillips returning to the leadoff spot, Billy Hamilton has been moved back down to the No. 9 spot.

Brandon Phillips (hand) is out of the Reds' lineup again for the second straight game Tuesday against the Twins.

Advice: Phillips injured both of his hands in Sunday's loss to the Mets and isn't feeling quite right yet. Ivan De Jesus will start at second base again while Billy Hamilton remains in the leadoff spot.

Brandon Phillips (hand) is not in the Reds' starting lineup Monday versus the Twins.

Advice: He hurt both hands in Sunday's loss to the Mets. Ivan De Jesus will grab the start at second base and hit second. Phillips is having a nice bounce-back season. His .287 average this year is his highest since 2011.

Brandon Phillips was removed from Sunday's game against the Mets with injuries to both of his hands.

Advice: Phillips, who had surgery on his left thumb last season, suffered a left thumb injury last week. It's unclear what happened on Sunday, but he was seen looking at his right hand numerous times before departing. The Reds should have an update on his status shortly, but fantasy owners may want to secure a replacement for next week.

Brandon Phillips went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, but the Reds were unable to overcome the Mets on Sunday.

Advice: Phillips led off the game with a home run against rookie pitcher Steven Matz, but the Reds couldn't generate much else for the rest of the afternoon. Phillips now has five home runs, 30 RBI, and a .288/.321/.385 batting line along with a six-game hitting streak.

Brandon Phillips singled and stole two bases in a loss to the Mets on Friday.

Advice: Phillips is now up to 11 steals on the year. He had just seven steals combined between 2013-2014. The 33-year-old isn't providing as much power as he once did, but he's finding other ways to be useful for fantasy owners.

Fri, Jun 26 Rotoworld
Brandon Phillips went 3-for-7 with a go-ahead homer in the 13th as the Reds edged the Pirates 5-4 on Thursday.

Advice: Andrew McCutchen thought he had a walkoff homer in the bottom of the 12th, but it turned out to be a double instead and he was left stranded. Phillips then delivered the decisive blow in the top of the 13th. He also tripled, stole a base and made a couple of nice defensive plays in the game. And all of this came after he was forced to sit out Wednesday's game because of a jammed left thumb.

Brandon Phillips (thumb) is in Thursday's lineup against the Pirates.

Advice: Phillips didn't play Wednesday after jamming his thumb during Tuesday's game, but X-rays showed no fractures or tears. He'll likely test things out before the game before he's officially a go, but this is a good sign.

X-rays taken Wednesday on Brandon Phillips' jammed left thumb showed no fractures or tears.

Advice: Phillips will test the thumb in pregame batting practice before the Reds release their starting lineup for Thursday night's series finale against the Pirates. Ivan DeJesus started at second base for Cincinnati on Wednesday.
