1B Lyle Overbay seems to be on the trading block and reportedly has been offered to a number of teams. Overbay has not been the same hitter since he suffered an injury to his right hand in June of 2007 when he was hit by a pitch. In 2006, Overbay batted .312 with 46 doubles, 22 home runs and 92 RBIs. Those numbers slipped to .270, 32, 15 and 69 in 2008 and .265, 38, 16, 65 last season. If the Blue Jays deal Overbay and his $7 million contract, OF/DH Adam Lind will shift to first. |
