Jul 3 RHP Rafael Betancourt pitched one scoreless and hitless inning in a rehab appearance for Class AAA Columbus Friday night. Betancourt has been on the disabled list since June 1 with a strained right groin. Yahoo! Sports


Jul 1 Betancourt (groin) threw a bullpen session on Wednesday and could head on a rehab assignment on Friday, the team's official site reports.

Recommendation: He doesn't figure to need a lengthy rehab stint but might be head back until after the All Star break just to give him a few extra days. Barring any setbacks you can expect him back right after the break at the latest.
