Player Notes
David Ortiz hit a three-run homer over Pesky's Pole in the bottom of the eighth inning Wednesday to lead the Red Sox to a 4-2 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Whether the ball was truly fair or not was inconclusive, but it counted as Ortiz's second home run of the year. He also had a double in the contest. He has three extra-base hits and five RBI the last two days after opening the year with one extra-base hit and three RBI in seven games.
