RHP Doug Brocail hopes to be ready to pitch after experiencing some right shoulder discomfort before the All-Star break. Brocail was bothered by a tender right shoulder, which is why manager Cecil Cooper refrained from using him after he suffered the 4-3 loss against the Pittsburgh Pirates on July 8. Brocail didn't appear in the Astros' final four games before the All-Star break.
