    Apr. 30—After a month of failing to deliver the big hit, the Astros got one in the biggest spot as Victor Caratini delivered a two-out, pinchhit walk-off home run to right field in the 10th inning to beat the Guardians 10-9 on Tuesday night at Minute Maid Park. Caratini, who was pinchhitting for Jake Meyers, took a 1-0 fastball from Hunter Gaddis and smoked it just over the right-field wall.

    Jose Altuve smacked two home runs as part of a three-hit game as the host Houston Astros topped the Texas Rangers 8-5 on Sunday in the rubber match of a three-game series. Altuve drilled a pair of solo shots off Rangers starter Nathan Eovaldi (1-1) for his 11th career multi-homer game.
