LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Scottie Scheffler got back to work Monday afternoon at Valhalla, but not without a few interruptions.
Top-ranked Scottie Scheffler arrived at Valhalla on Monday afternoon and began practice for the 106th PGA Championship, searching for his third major title and fifth triumph in six starts.His status had been uncertain with no confirmation he had become a father, but the arrival of his caddie, Ted Scott, to look over the course on Monday gave a major indication Scheffler would compete.
Masters champion Scottie Scheffler arrived at Valhalla on Monday for the PGA Championship and received congratulations at every turn, none related to any of his victories. Scheffler said he and his wife named the baby Bennett. Jon Rahm was among the first to greet Scheffler on the putting green, gave him a hug and said, “Have you had much sleep?” Rahm has two sons.
"Here’s your assignment, go kill somebody this week. That’s how he approaches golf at major championships. I love it.”
