Firefighters work on multiple vehicles on fire in Desert Hot Springs

Firefighters were battling multiple vehicle fires in Desert Hot Springs on Wednesday.

Crews responded to the 16-709 block of Evans Lane at around 1:47 p.m. to a fully involved fire of a travel trailer and several other vehicles, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

It was unclear how many vehicles were involved.

A spokesperson with the fire department told City News Service that no injuries were reported and the cause of the fires was under investigation.

Officials advised the public to avoid the area while fire crews mitigate the flames.
