Europe: UEFA Champions League (Group G)

Sevilla remains in third place after narrowly beating Villarreal 3-2 before the international break. That win has left the Andalusians in a strong position, four points behind leader Barcelona and just three adrift of second-placed Real Madrid. Sevilla now travels to promoted side Tenerife on Saturday evening and will be expected to bag an eighth league success of the season. Lautaro Acosta returned to action for Sevilla in a recent friendly following an injury and will be available for Manolo Jimenez on Saturday, but Julien Escude picked up an injury in France's World Cup play-off with Ireland on Wednesday and will be out for two weeks.
