Next Match: at home to Villarreal, November 08 Europe: UEFA Champions League (Group G) After five straight league wins, Sevilla suffered a slight dip in form and picked up just one point from the next two matches. But Manolo Jimenez's side returned to winning ways with a routine 2-0 win over Andalusian neighbours Xerez last weekend. Sevilla then sealed passage to the last 16 of the Champions League thanks a nervy 1-1 tie at home to VfB Stuttgart in midweek. The Andalusians now host a rejuvenated Villarreal in the league on Sunday. Frederic Kanoute and Adriano have recovered from injury and are set to start that match, but Aldo Duscher misses out and Arouna Kone is doubtful. |
