Next Match: at home to Deportivo La Coruna, January 20

Osasuna defender Ruben Gonzalez is hoping their bottom of the table clash with Deportivo la Coruna this weekend could be the turning point in their season. Los Rojillos are currently rooted to the foot of the table and are without a win in their last five games, but Depor are only one point and place above them and with a trip to the Camp Nou to come next week, Ruben believes three points on Sunday are even more crucial. He told the club's website: "It is extremely important. Personally I would not call it a final because there are 18 games left, but I would call it a semi-final because it is almost a final. It is not the end, but it could be the point of starting a good run by winning against Depor and then Celta Vigo. In the middle we have the Camp Nou but that is a different story."
