Next Match: at home to Real Madrid, December 14
Roberto Torres is optimistic ahead of Osasuna's clash with Real Madrid and believes the fact the match is at home plays into the Navarran club's hands. Osasuna held Madrid to a goalless draw at El Sadar last season and became the first team to take points off Barcelona this term when they drew 0-0 with the Catalans in October. "They have great players and they are a great team but playing at the Bernabeu is not the same as playing at El Sadar," the midfielder told reporters. Torres scored for Osasuna in a 4-2 defeat at Madrid last season and he added: "I would love to do it again. That game at the Bernabeu was a meaningless game in terms of league position but now we've got a lot to play for and I hope we can compete."
