Next Match: away to Barcelona, May 11 Like last season, Mallorca is finishing strongly and could yet grab a place in the UEFA Cup. The Balearic club has won four games in a row and is now just three points behind sixth-placed Racing Santander with two rounds of the championship remaining. However, Gregorio Manzano's side faces a tough trip to Barcelona on Sunday. Ivan Ramis and Lionel Scaloni are set to miss that match through injury, but Ariel Ibagaza could return. Striker Dani Guiza a reported Barcelona target is now the league's top scorer with 26 goals, two more than Sevilla's Luis Fabiano. Mallorca has not applied for a place in the Intertoto Cup. |
