Next Match: away to Racing Santander, November 08 Europe: UEFA Europa League (Group L) Athetic Bilbao began the season in impressive fashion, with three straight wins. But things have not gone to plan since then and last weekend's lucky win at home to Atletico Madrid was the Basque club's first success since the third round of matches. It saw Joaquin Caparros' side move back up to ninth place in the table, but the team was far from convincing and the coach will hope for a better performance away to Racing Santander in what is likely to be an intense northern derby on Sunday. Fran Yeste, Gaizka Toquero and Markel Susaeta were deemed unfit to travel to Madeira to face FC Nacional in the Europa League on Thursday night. They are all doubts for Sunday, while Aitor Ocio is still sidelined. Striker Inigo Diaz De Cerio is available again, though. |
