The season is already over for Stuttgart defender Serdar Tasci, who must now fear losing his place in the Germany squad for Euro 2008 as a result of torn muscle fibres in his right thigh. The 21-year-old picked up the injury in the 3-2 defeat to Dortmund on Tuesday and has been ruled out of the Swabians' last two games of the season. Fernando Meira was forced to take his place early on Tuesday night despite the fact he had only just returned from a shoulder injury. Nevertheless, the Portuguese defender came through the game without any problems and will return to the centre of the defence to partner Matthieu Delpierre for the final two games of the season.
